Student Blog — Notes from Mel

Today was very exciting as the walls of the structure were further cleaned and exposed.

We are making progress on the 2×2 units.

In our unit Jada and I uncovered a dark patch which is being protected overnight by a tarp. I look forward to seeing what becomes of the patch tomorrow.

Potential feature all tucked in for the night. In the background Dan is writing some field notes summarizing the day’s progress.
Jada and Mel taking their unit down to the next layer.

We uncovered a knife blade to complement a spoon found in another unit and a red clay pipe stem fragment was found as was a piece of hand painted pottery.
